Defending the Electoral College since 2009
Why is the Electoral College in the Constitution? How does it work? And why worry about keeping it?
I wrote “Why We Must Defend the Electoral College” to answer these questions. The system we use to elect the president of the United States shapes our national politics. The Founder’s invention—the Electoral College—helps to involve more people in presidential politics while also pulling us together as a nation. And it protects against fraud.
Unfortunately, there is an organized national campaign trying to hijack the Electoral College. They are nearly three-fourths of the way to their goal. If they succeed, they will throw our country into chaos and could permanently shift even more political power to a few giant cities.
If you read my new book, you’ll find all this explained. And it’s short enough to read in an hour and then pass along to someone else who needs to know “Why We Must Defend the Electoral College.”
Time is running out
There is a real, immediate threat to the constitutional way we elect our president. National Popular Vote is 76% of the way to implementing their dangerous plan.
