Sec. Kennedy Calls for Price Transparency
Staff • Jan 13, 2026

In a video yesterday, Secretary Robert F. Kennedy asked the key question: Why do patients often have little or no information about the cost of medical treatment—at least until they get the bills?

President Trump and Secretary Kennedy have prioritized health care price transparency. They have proposed a rule to require insurers and providers to show us prices upfront. This is an essential piece of the health care puzzle. We will never get prices under control until we know what the prices are—that’s common sense.

See the video here. Read the President’s executive order here and the new Transparency in Coverage 2.0 rule here. And be sure to check out our work on this issue at ShowUsYourPrices.com.
