Introducing “Electoral College 101”
Staff • Sep 26, 2024

When do presidential electors cast their state’s electoral votes? And who are these people? You can find answers to questions like that at ElectoralCollege101.com, a new educational website from Save Our States.

“The Electoral College is, fundamentally, a two-step democratic process,” said Trent England, the founder and executive director of Save Our States. “Voters deserve to know how it works, which is why Save Our States produced the award-winning documentary Safeguard four years ago and why we are now launching Electoral College 101.”

The website features a timeline of the current presidential election process, a video describing how we got the Electoral College, and links to additional educational resources. For parents, teachers, or anyone who wants to learn about how presidents and vice presidents are elected, Electoral College 101 is a great place to start.
