Defending the power of our states since 2009
Florida's Voice wrote about our new ad campaign exposing the University of Miami Health System's taxpayer waste:
The national grassroots nonprofit Save Our States, or SOS, launched a high-impact, six-figure media campaign Thursday targeting the University of Miami Health System, or UHealth, over allegations of systemic taxpayer waste and medical negligence.
The campaign, centered around a new television ad titled “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” accuses the health system of diverting critical public resources toward “luxurious renovations” and million-dollar executive salaries while its life-saving services deteriorate.
“Waste and abuse of taxpayer funds isn’t limited to shady daycares and phony business,” Executive Director of SOS Trent England said in an exclusive statement to Florida’s Voice. “The massive University of Miami Health System is a textbook example: taxpayer subsidies have gone to luxury renovations, multi-million dollar paydays, and fancy facilities in Abu Dhabi.”
